The other day I overheard someone joke that "what San Francisco needs is a really good earthquake," and in order for the bubble to burst, I think they might be right. I suggest you look into private tutoring as a second job. You can earn over $50 an hour depending on which subject/level you tutor in.

Omg, OP. I'm in SF too, and teachers make SH*T here. My DD went to Grattan and is now in public charter for middle school. We watch as teacher after teacher leaves either the area or the profession. And if you don't have rent control that started like five years ago, you're screwed. I'm in SoMa and live in the crummiest rundown apartment building. Studios in here are going for $2200. And that's considered "good"! I feel for you. You need to get a nannying job with the Marina, Pac Heights, Nob Hill crowd. Even Noe Valley people are struggling.

Not to be negative but op what did you major in? Why can't you find work in your field of study to pay off your loans. M a student and a sitter for seven years and childcare is a calling. M not doing it just to make money. I genuily like it and my career is to work with children. Don't do it just to pay off a loan but because u enjoy otherwise you will b burn out quickly with those crazy hours.

In my experience it's better to work 60 hrs for 2-3 families than one. The change of scenery and dynamics prevents burnout for me. Make sure you keep your one day off sacred and use it for downtime and preparing for the new week. Be organized; cut veg to take for lunches and have a couple days worth of lunches packed up so you just have to grab your containers and throw them in your lunch bag. I bought enough lunch sized containers for a week of lunches which makes my life infinitely easier and saves money. I cook a couple of things ahead for dinners so I just have to either reheat or throw a few things in a bowl for a salad etc. you can make it work if sufficiently motivated and if you're working jobs that you like.

I worked about 65-70 hours a week for three years. One full time job, one part time at night and on weekends. I worked 7 days a week but not full days.

I was 20-22 when I did it. Now, almost 20 years later I think it'd be much harder. Then I used to get home after 11pm. Now I'm often in bed before 10pm.

Make sure that you carve out time to do specific relaxing things on a regular basis. I met my grandparents for brunch every Sunday morning before working six hours. Every Friday night I took a bubble bath. On Tuesdays I took myself out to dinner before school (just to Boston Market, but still).

Yup, I do two 60 hour weeks every month. Sure it's tiring, but certainly doable.
