MB here. If regular disruptions in his sleep schedule are happening then I would question it also. Maybe you and she need to figure out whether the schedule needs adjusting. Do you keep a log? If so then you could correlate nap disruptions with bowel movements (if you think that's a consistent cause). Or you could see if maybe the naptime needs to be adjusted a bit to allow enough time after a meal to change a diaper. Etc... But keeping a log would also help you say "it seems like every other week or so there is a day when he doesn't sleep for the full, usual time. I am keeping all the mealtimes consistent (which you can demonstrate w/ a good daily log) so don't really know what the cause might be." Basically, decide you're not going to take this personally, rather that you will document what happens during the day so you and your employers can look together to see if there is any kind of consistent pattern to the disruption, or if it's just so infrequent that it's not a cause for concern. Don't treat her questioning as an insult - that will just feed any tension between you. Instead, treat her concern for maintaining a consistent sleep schedule as valid, and try to communicate that you agree. Unless you don't and you think she's being nuts. That's a different problem.
