You knew about the dog when you took the job and have now been with them for 2 years. Assuming that you are full time, you are just as much to blame for the dogs lack of training and bad behavior as your employer. Shame on you both.
OP here. I work before/after school + occasional hours when there is no school, half days, etc. I tried to train. But I am the only one. Nobody else does anything. They start, but they don't follow through. If I'm here during the day, I let them out multiple times. On the days where I'm only at work before/after school, there is always pee/poop on the floor by the time the older child comes from school. They don't think about hiring a dog walker. They don't seem to think it's a big deal. They kids think it's normal for a dog to poop/pee in the house. That dog poops and pees every night, so in the morning when I walk in, I have to watch my steps right when I walk in the house. They clean it up (eventually). Like today, the pee on the floor finally got cleaned up by one of the kids at 11:30. Since 7. I told my MB to watch out for the pee on the floor when she was leaving. She knew it was there.
OP again. Yes, I knew about the dog. Nearly every family I worked for had a dog (or dogs.) I just never assumed that nobody would teach him to pee/poop outside.
