How does your schedule normally work? Do you normally work the entire 22 hours? Or, do you work partial days both days? Or, is this a weekend job situation where you might work the full 11 either day?

This is just my gut instinct, because this is an unusual arragenment, but here's how I'd approach it. The point of guarenteed hours is guarenteeing you an income that is under your control and guarenteeing the parent care. If it was a reasonable assumption that by taking of Saturday, you'd still  be working a partial day Sunday, then that was what was cancelled, and I'd just charge the 5 hours. If you generally work the entire 22 hour period, then, you lost 10 hours of work and I'd charge the entire 10. However, if its a schedule that rotates heavily towards one day, ie you essentially cancelled that weeks entire care by cancelling Saturday, I'd charge nothing.[/quote]
