From my standpoint as an MB, the purpose of offering guaranteed hours is that you are always available during those hours. Pp here, and I agree. I think it's odd that you would be offered guaranteed hours and not 4 days/yr of paid vacation. If I was your MB, I would have made it clear that you are taking this weekend as vacation and paid you for the weekend. I would check with your MB, but it seems to me that this is more of an informal arrangement, and she might not expect to pay you for any hours not worked.
