First Cat napping is not napping, you should be staying closer to the house and work on extending naps. Babies this age should be awake for no more than 2hours and then asleep for 1.5-2hrs eating every 3.5-4 hours. Sounds l like ur MB is going to be a Pain in the Ass! Tell her driving is the only way to get him out more/take him to your place like pp mentioned.
I've been an infant nanny for 10+ years. A child this age should actually only be up 90 minutes . Have you ever cared for infants? Many infants do not consolidate their naps until 5-6 months. Many young babies only nap for 45 minutes at a time. Also, not every child is the same. Some 3 months olds still eat every 2-3 hours, especially breastfeed babies. 3 months is too young to be on a schedule and MB doesn't want to adjust naps or anything just yet. He is very on-demand, as most 3 months old are. He is also 6 weeks premature so things are delayed. It's not a one fit all for infants. They all move at their own pace.
