I am a nanny who took her little 2 yr. old charge to play in the rain a few days ago. It was humid, rainy and a bit of wind. (My MB was completely okay with this as long as my charge wore his rainboots!) She most likely was okay with it because it wasn't a cold storm, in fact in spite of the rain, it was very warm in the air. Anyway, when we got home I changed my charge's clothing immediately so not to take the risk that he get sick from wearing wet clothes for a significant amount of time. Then I put the wet ones in the dryer along with my pants and blouse. Well when my MB arrived home I told her of all the fun "puddle jumping" we did and she was glad we enjoyed ourselves. Then I mentioned that I had used her dryer to dry our clothing and she looked upset. She replied that she didn't like it when other people use her dryer as it is only two years old and that it was "off-limits" to anyone but her and her husband. I was taken aback, but agreed to her terms. (No, our contract does not mention this one way or another.) I thought I would get over it, but it seriously is bothering me more and more. Was I in the wrong here? If so, let me eat crow.
