Most nannies aren't interested in your cleaning chores. Maybe shopping/errands.
That's why I said hire a housekeeper/nanny or a household manager. There are a lot of people interested in a long term job with varied duties who maybe don't want to be with kids all day long. I suggest you don't apply for this job.
I never met a nanny (or "housekeeper nanny") who wants to clean your crap, unless there's no other job option for her.
Do a quick search on care.com. There are lots and lots of housekeepers looking for work, and many of them also advertise that they will care for children. Do you really think there is no one in the world who can do a good job with children and manage a household? Some people like to clean to the same extent that other people like to hang out all day with toddlers, which would drive me batty!
OP here- thanks PP. Right? I thought the idea of no kids around from 9-12 and tidying the kids' rooms or organizing the playroom or shopping/prepping lunch or dinner would be nice while still getting paid and not having any children to mind... I mean, this is the stuff moms dream about when kids are finally old enough to go to school. But as I said, this is all new to me, so I appreciate the insight on what typical nannies want to do. I will definitely go another direction.
