Sorry OP, but I have to take issue with you calling out the family dog as [u]"stupid."[/u]

He is a dog, he is simply doing what dogs do when they hear others outside, they bark. It doesn't make him stupid, it's not like he lacks any sense of intelligence because he barks at others.
