That is not a generalization. How the hell do you forget to pay your employee, then act as though you are not irresponsible? Any time a nanny makes a mistake its the end of the freaking world and she's a terrible person. Payment for services provided is the whole damn basis of the relationship. [/quote]

I'm with you on this one PP. I highly doubt many MB's would be so willing to forgive their employers if they didn't receive their paycheck on time, why should nannies have to be understanding?  It's pretty simple and if you can't remember to pay someone on time, outsource that job too! 
It's a crappy situation to put someone in where they feel obligated to ASK for money that is rightfully theirs, especially after receiving a gift (and yes, it makes nannies feel greedy, which just adds to the crappy factor).
