I hate reading these horror nanny stories. I really [i]feel[/i] for the poor innocent victims in these stories who of course, are the poor children.

I am so glad that these children got out of this hot car safe, alive and well.

I wish they would have charged this nanny w/attempted manslaughter since both children could have died as a result, but I know that will [u]never[/u] happen.  :x

I wonder how this family found this nanny. Just curious if they found her on Craigslist as well and whether they ran a background check on her or not.

Stories like this really hurt us good nannies because it makes families think twice before considering hiring a nanny. I hope that families understand that situations such as this are very far and few between. They are so isolated that they are beyond comprehensible to me at all.

I cannot even imagine the mind-set of someone who could do such a neglectful thing just to get a suntan. Even at the young age of 23, I never in a million yrs. would have left 2 young children in a hot car just for vanity.
