Unless the nanny can leave whenever she wants after 7pm, you need to pay her.  You will not find any quality nanny who you expect to be available 24 hrs a day without paying her for her time.   In your OP you said she'll wake up with baby if baby wakes up.  So which is it?   Is she on duty or is she able to come and go as she pleases during the 8 hrs of sleep.  [/quote]
