My nanny will be working on Monday even though DH has the day off. She swapped MLK day for another day off during the holidays. It's also nice to have a day off that can be used to get things done around the house that can't be done without childcare.[/quote] If that's your agreement with your nanny, by all means, but I think its pretty shitty to use your day off "doing things around the house" instead of being with your kids. There are tons of people without nannies, and they seem to get by just fine without needing someone to occupy their children to function. [/quote]
