My nanny will be working on Monday even though DH has the day off. She swapped MLK day for another day off during the holidays. It's also nice to have a day off that can be used to get things done around the house that can't be done without childcare.
I bet the nanny is *really* looking forward to that.

If they are asking you to come in on a day that your contract designates as a holiday, you should point them to your agreement, and either request holiday pay if you'd like to work, or hold them to your agreement.
