Just do it in a nice way instead of accusatory. I can't wear anything scented in my job, and I've had to ask a couple of students doing their clinicals to please not wear perfume/body spray the next time they come to the hospital. There is a nice way of going about it "smells can bother some people" and a rude way "when I come home my baby reeks of your perfume and you're not allowed to wear it anymore" As to the people annoyed with the term manny, if I recalls from an old post, this is how that MB's (m)nanny, refers to himself.
