Agreed. Just do it in a nice way instead of accusatory. I can't wear anything scented in my job, and I've had to ask a couple of students doing their clinicals to please not wear perfume/body spray the next time they come to the hospital. There is a nice way of going about it "smells can bother some people" and a rude way "when I come home my baby reeks of your perfume and you're not allowed to wear it anymore"

As to the people annoyed with the term manny, if I recalls from an old post, this is how that MB's (m)nanny, refers to himself. I see nothing wrong with it if that is how he refers to himself.

OP, yes, it is ok to ask your nanny not to wear perfume.

I agree. I can always tell it's a certain person posting because s/he always feels the need to say "manny" or "male nanny". I find it weird. Like does it matter?

As a nanny, I would never wear anything with a strong scent to work.
Bring it up in a kind, respectful way. I would tell her that while you think she smells lovely, you are very sensitive to her particular perfume.
Ask her to please stop wearing the scent to work.
This actually happened to me with my MB.
I switched fabric softener in the middle of her pregnancy.
The new smell made her feel ill due to her heightened sense of smell.
She acknowledge that she felt awkward and bad asking me. That made me feel better and I immediately agreed to switch scents.
