If you need her for 2 days a week, would you be okay with her finding more families to babysit for down at the beach when she isn't working for you? If you wouldn't be okay with that, then you most likely will have to pay a higher hourly rate or a weekly salary that is on the higher end, IMHO.

Depending on her experience, I would plan on paying at least $15 an hour minimum. If this was proposed to me, I would ask for $20 an hour and would need to find other gigs on my days off in order to support myself. Most people cannot afford to only work 2 days a week.

Have you considered hiring a very responsible HS graduate or college student? They may be willing to work the 2 days and enjoy the rest of their week going to the beach and making friends. An arrangement like that- you might be able to get away with paying $14-16 an hour.
