My charge is almost two years old. Parents don't allow him to use crayons at this point, but he loves ripping paper. I gave him some colorful tissue paper, and let him go to town. Then I glued them to a larger paper, and wrote "Happy Mothers Day!"
Why can't he use crayons at 2 yo?
Mom says no. She's wonderful and loving, but uptight. She's nervous about her kid trying anything new.
No crayons? I have never heard of such a thing, but to each their own. Great creative way to get around it though!! I came home to an adorable hand-written note from my 2 year old in crayon. "Te amo Mama. Love Larla (and) Larla2" with flowers and a heart. I can't imagine how much patience that took my AP to get her to write all those letters, but this one will be kept for years! I really appreciated the effort and thought!
