You make for a really obvious troll.

I made a flower pot with their feet prints as butterflies.

I made a "family garden" on a big poster board with the four kids' hand prints as the flowers and their foot prints as the leaves. I gave them a lot of creative license and they went to town, even glueing real flowers and herbs on it. On the back i let the little ones scribble and I transcribed some quotes from the older ones as I asked them questions about their mom. I gave her my gift on Monday. She works for a flower company so she has a crazy schedule the week before Mother's Day, leaving the house before 4am and working long hours. DB has to take on a lot of extra household duties as well, including getting ALL four kids up and ready for school (with a little of my help once it's almost time to be out the door). So I made them a few family meals and had the kids help make her muffins to bring to work.

Why can't he use crayons at 2 yo?

Mom says no. She's wonderful and loving, but uptight. She's nervous about her kid trying anything new.

No crayons? I have never heard of such a thing, but to each their own. Great creative way to get around it though!!

I came home to an adorable hand-written note from my 2 year old in crayon. "Te amo Mama. Love Larla (and) Larla2" with flowers and a heart. I can't imagine how much patience that took my AP to get her to write all those letters, but this one will be kept for years! I really appreciated the effort and thought!

My charges are 4 and 2. This year we bought mom a plain pj shirt and did there hand prints all over it. It came out really cute. I also am having the kids give her her favorite lotion.

I did something similar to this, and let them color on the inside.

We did hand print flowers and feet print butterflies! The babies are only 4 months old so it wasn't really their project, but a nice card for MBs first Mother's Day!

Anyone doing some crafts with their charges?
Worked on some this morning with mine. We'll finish them up after nap.
