[/quote] The problem is that it frequently IS a heat issue and people don't realize it is. A car's interior heats up quickly even on a day that is not that hot and even with the windows cracked. People also lose track of time and don't realize they left the child longer than they intended, which is an issue as the car's interior is heating up. There have been cases of children dying from being left in cars on days when the ambient temperature was not that high. That police officer sounds like an idiot. [/quote]
