I was wondering how many nannies have set up an emergency Evacuation plan with their families. I use a baby connect to keep the parents updated and will give a heads up if we go somewhere new but normally i plan my day as it goes.  Since I have the full trust of my employers, I've never really questioned whether I should tell them in advance but after yesterday and struggling to get cell service I feel i need to change how i go about things. I work with infants and if something should happen to me, how would their parents locate them? I've mentioned sewing tags to their jackets and diaper bag with parents infor but I feel like there should be a better alternative. We agreed If an event should happen that causes the city to be under lockdown, I'm to take them to my house or my family members house if I can't get them home. If my home isn't safe then ill wait with them at children's hospital until the parents can get to us.
