Maybe someone can clarify this more-and as I type this it is almost uncomfortable, but really...if the doors are locked, the car is off and in full view/10 feet away at all times, where is the harm in running in to pay for gas for 90 seconds? Not being snarky, I would really just love a reasonable explanation, aside from just don't do it, because I've been there and not done it, but would it really be so terrible if I did??
My best friend left her kids in the car for a few moments. Someone called the cops and stood behind the car so she couldn't drive away. She is facing felony child neglect charges. Don't do it.
That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. The case will be dismissed. What a waste of DCFS's time and resources.
Who are you to say case will be dismissed?? LOLLLL If she has a good lawyer she'll probably get charges reduced (to a misdemeanor for example) and enter AR program. If she has any history whatsoever she wont be able to get AR and will prob get some probation time maybe community service.... Either way, if she is hiring a good lawyer that's a good - at least- 2K just in retainer fees. Be smart ladies. Not only to protect your children but also to protect yourselves from facing these consequences.
