If you are in the kitchen eating lunch during the baby's only nap that day and she comes bouncing in and wants to talk your ear off, just smile politely and say, "It's nice to see you, X, but I am really worn out.  Would you mind letting me just eat lunch in quiet?  Have a great day!"  You can ask for what you need without being rude.[/quote]
