Look, if Fran Drescher interviewed to be my nanny, the nasal whiney voice would totally drive me nuts and I wouldn't hire based on that (never mind all the other issues). Some people just don't click, and you two just don't click. Maybe put out an ad for a baby nurse who's interested in transitioning to a nanny to three and see what bites you get. You may find out the current gal is the best fish in the sea. And if you keep her, you can say "It's great that you're so peppy and laugh all the time but with the new baby I'd like to have a calm, quiet household for its first few months so could you tone it down a notch" and see if that helps.
