Get your sorry head out of the sand, op, BEFORE it's too late.

LOL...

I don't know if this is sarcastic or not, but it always blows my mind when people act like being a permissive parent is the WORST thing you can do to your child.

Allowing your child to be an abusive asshole is pretty much the worst thing you can do for them.

Your Nanny is doing exactly the right thing. Hopefully when your out of control child asks to go play in the basement she is calmly saying,"No, the basement is off limits this week since you locked me in last week."

Of course, you and your dh are likely letting him down in the basement to ride that bike as soon as your Nanny walks out the door at night, so you should expect your kid to lock nanny in the basement again as soon as she allows him to play down there again.

I look forward to your post within a month complaining that your Nanny quit because she just didn't understand your high spirited rambunctious buy.

Unless you luck out with a permissive judge and jury, watching your entitled kid rot in jail IS one of the WORST things for MOST parents.

Ever hear of Sam Ellis? Perfect example of what can easily happen to kids who are spoiled rotten.

Think about it.

To the people saying my child is a monster you must not be parents yourselves because kids especially little boys can be a handful.

lol put ourselves in a kids place? If I were to do that I would be too afraid to try something like locking an adult in a basement. Any child that does it once is definitely in for a learning experience and testing boundaries. Any child that does it Numerous times just has not been disciplined and will continue to act out this way. It's not normal no matter how much you twist it.

I'd think you were the op if it weren't for the way you type etc.

Yep. That's exactly how you train a criminal. Reward evil behavior. In a few years, everyone will say, "But he came from such a good family, and his parents adored him!" My ass. His parents adored themselves.
