Kids gaining weight because of nanny? RSS feed

Anonymous
I recently got a new nanny and notices she a lot, pretty much always snacking. My kids have started to pickup her habits and are now putting on weight! Any advice on what I should do?

How recently did you hire her? How old are your children? How much weight have they gained?

We hired her at the beginning of this school year! There is a five year old and a two year old. She watched the two year old full time and the five year old part time during the school year and now watches them both full time. They have gained 30 pounds between the two of them. We keep very little junk food in our house so they are eating mostly healthy food I think. They are just eating all the time now because they want to be like nanny.

I don't believe this post. You're just trying to stir up shit against fat nannies.

I don't care if you don't believe it. I'm asking for honest advice. My nanny is not fat actually, if anyway she could be called fat it would be "skinny-fat" if that.

I call bullshit on this post

WE TOLD YOU NOT TO HIRE FAT NANNIES.

OP, if you're going to try to troll at least do it properly. Kids that age would not put on ~15lbs each snacking on healthy foods. Total bullshit.

Then I simply don't believe you. If your post is real, take your kids to the doctor. A healthy child will not get fat on healthy snacks, their appetite signals will let them know when they're full and they will stop eating.

A more believable troll would be you suspect she's stopping at McDonalds on the way home from picking up your 5yo every day. For your next attempt, I mean.

Sounds like you better get your kids to the doctor FAST! They obviously have some sort of glandular disorder to have gained 15 lbs each in less than a year!

Between growing and gaining a bit of weight from unhealthy eating habits and low activity it is not at all hard to believe that kids can gain 10-15 pounds in a year.

A two year old would have to eat to the point of making themselves sick on a regular basis to gain that much.

Are you claiming the difference in weight between a slim 2 year old and a chunky 3 year old can't be 10-15 pounds? Stop being ridiculous.
