| Ew, that is really weird. I could understand sharing bottles of breast milk, to get a variety of antibodies, but I think suckling someone else's breast with the mom right there is very strange. If they really want to do this, then somewhere out of public view would be much better. |

| Well I think eating animals is weird but that doesn't mean I get to force other people to do so out of view. The babies are drinking human milk, not eating the carcass of an animal killed who knows when. |

| I use to think this was incredibly weird, then I spent a year in Africa and this is very common in the area where I was. If there was a a child crying and there was a woman nearby who could nurse him she would. Didn't matter even if the mothers knew each other or not. I have to admit it did take some getting use to. In the US we have the view that nursing is this beautiful bonding experience, in other parts of the world it is simply a way to feed a kid, no different then giving a baby a bottle. I don't know if it is something I could ever do, but I can understand people who do. |
