A sockpuppet (often no space for internet use) is a false identity used on the web. Usually (but not always), it is someone who is pretending to be someone else to talking about themselves, so in this case OP pretending to be a new poster talking about her lack of bonus.

I took 24/5 as being 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Not 5 days on and 5 days off. She probably has weekends off, but works straight through the night on weekdays.
