haha I mean seriously? Where are you getting this "fatass" shit from? What makes you assume that the OP is even "fat"? You are coming off extremely immature and to be honest, trashy. Stop trolling and get a life.
Why so defensive? Are you one of those nannies that have body image issues and can't hear the word fat without assuming it's about you? Haha.

What? We just have no idea why you keep calling everyone a fatass cunt while we're all sitting behind our own computer screens with NO idea what anyone else looks like. So your fatass comments are random and stupid.

I have worked for many families that have had dogs and I have ALWAYS made it clear that I am NOT responsible for the dog other then letting it out throughout the day. Now obviously if it had an accident, I'd clean it up but if this was a every day thing, I'd talk to my bosses ASAP and get this cleared up because there is no way that I would be okay with cleaning up pee/poop from an ANIMAL all day on top of caring for children.

It is not the OP's job to train the dog as others are saying. If it's not in her job description, it's not her issue.

Thank you PP! I swear these people act as if I'm setting the dog on fire, beating the shit out of it, kicking it across the room, throwing scalding hot water on it, or snipping off its tail bit by bit, etc. Things I'd never even considering doing in the slightest, regardless of any offence committed by this animal.

Last I checked, 2 ounces of cold water, mind you, not hypothermic freezing cold water, is a [b]far cry from torture/abuse[b] Damn people, get it together. It's less water than what she gets in her rare baths. I'm not pouring a bucket of it on her.

And the fact that I only do it when she shits in the kitchen, not whenever I feel like it, is, yet again, a far cry from abuse.

Some of you PPs must be tripping off acid or something. Yes, I'm really that horrible for throwing a bit of cold water on a dog in order to deter her unacceptable behavior.
Parents, watch out. It's inevitable that I'll soon begin to beat and torture your children.

I don't think you would beat and torture kids for throwing water on the dog, and I posted earlier to say you have a right to a safe clean workplace and a solution, but the attitude you take in the previous post, and your complete inability to see that it is wrong, counterproductive, and abusive to spray the dog with water (you may not think that's abusive, but any dog owner or trainer would vehemently disagree and the fact that you refuse to see that is telling) makes me mighty glad you aren't my child's nanny.

Why don't the parents care about their dog?

NP here. I'm with you OP!! I'd do the same, and would never abuse a child. People are just crazy over-the-top on here with their wild accusations and responses. Ugh.

I got your back OP! Rude posters, go scoop your dog's shit.

Haha. Thanks above two PPs.

I still don't get why everybody's getting so worked up over it, lol.

Why can't you let the dog out a few times a day?

I'm disturbed that putting cold water on the dog makes you feel better. The dog is not going to understand cause and effect.

OP here. The dog in question is no puppy, but a 9 year old chihuahua... or somewhere around that age, whose been with MB for that many years. She doesn't like to go outside, and as far as I'm concerned, she's been pretty good with the wee wee pad since I began working for the family. Also, the wee wee pad is not exactly next to her bed, but rather across the room. I swear she does it to piss me off.

I've got no problem with dogs, or other animals for that matter, and I like the little "rat dog" as my employers call her, as well as their pitbull mix, well enough. Although the pitbull tends to smell pretty bad since she goes outside.

Still, it pisses me off to see turds and pee all over the kitchen floor, including the mat in front of the sink, which absorbs the pee. And, while I'm not responsible for cleaning it up, I usually end up doing so because I'd hate to prepare meals for the infant and myself in a kitchen that smells of shit, and where I've gotta maneuver around the filth.

True, splashing cold water on the little mutt may not deter her from this innapropriate behavior, but its worth a try, and way better than all the other stuff I've devised out of frustration.

You disgust me.

It would take 5 minutes to talk to your employers about how unacceptable this situation is (having to walk around/keep the child away from dog pee/excrement) and maybe another 15 to google some ACTUAL ways to help curb her behavior. Instead you are doing something you yourself admit will make no difference in her behavior but which certainly scares her. You're terrorizing that dog. You're taking out your frustration with the situation on a helpless animal. I won't troll here by wondering what it would take for you to turn your vindictive streak toward the child(ren) in your care, but it has crossed my mind.

Shame on you.

Yes, shame on you, OP. You are torturing a small animal. I'd fire you for that.

Because you are an animal abuser. I so hope your MB finds this and cans your animal abusing ass.

Yeah, well, fat chance of that happening considering I don't work for you.
