The second would that is I WOULD do it for $2k myself. I would think a lot of people would jump on the chance to make thousands in a single week. That's what I'm saying.

Let me guess, you will be a helicopter mom if you ever have kids.

I'm all for taking trips, but I think it's better to wait until the child is old enough to understand why you are going and that you will be back. 10 months is probably the worst age to take a trip like that.

And she thought you were another stupid girl, lol. Don't let people take advantage of you like that.

No, I don't think you understand the "helicopter" concept.

If I was your nanny I'd watch him for 150 bucks for the week on top my my regular pay. I don't nickel and dime parents. They aren't a corporation people. 1,200 for a week??

Then they can take their kids with them. Who else works for free? Why would you ever work for more than twice your normal hours and only ask for $150 more for the whole week? I'm assuming that you mean only your regular schedule pay with that. Which is stupid. Unless you like being a doormat and being taken advantage of, then I know some other people that would love some week long trips without kids for only $150 more than what they normally pay their nanny for the week.

I'm a 24hr nanny. I get a daily rate of $325 per 24hrs. It breaks my hourly rate to around $12 plus over time.

It is not your damn nanny fault that you are going on vacation! Why does she have to work longer to accommodate your plans, then lower her rate for YOU??? At any other job, you can't ask your employees to work more, then pay them less. Or I guess you can ask, but that's how you loose a good employee!

Watching kids is not a skilled job. Why do you think a week of your time is worth thousands? High level executives get paid about that much. I'd much rather get a few hundred bucks to watch the kids overnight for a week than not get any extra money at all because I demanded an insane wage.
