January 2026-In need of a part-time Nanny

Hello,

Our family is in need of a part-time nanny starting in January 2026 to care for our infant daughter. We live in the Gaithersburg/North Potomac area.

The position would be for 2-3 days per week from 8:00am-2:30pm.

We are seeking an experienced (5+ years) nanny with strong references.

You should be in the $35hr range for so few hours. Those aren't even full work days.

For someone with kids in MS or HS these are great hours. $25 an hour is fine for one kid.
This is the kind of job I’ll be looking for in about 5 years.
Not everyone doing childcare is a FT Nanny paying their mortgage/rent as a single person.

The rate is very low but not bad for a college student.

You are dreaming. You will have to find someone who has another part time gig or pay enough to make it a 59 hr. Week

Apparently, it has not occurred to you that nannies do not volunteer child care for wonderful people like you!
