Loving & Caring Nanny Looking for a Family to Start in the Fall

We have an incredible and loving nanny that is looking for a family starting this fall. Our nanny, Marietou, has been with us for 3.5 years, since our first child was 6 months old, and through the birth of our second, who is now 2 years old and will be going to daycare in September.

Marietou has been such an integral part of our lives, and has helped both of our children grow and learn so much. She is attentive and caring, protective and encouraging, and always puts the children first. From bottles to early solid foods to big kids snacks and lunch, she doesn't push but lets the kids work on learning to eat their food. She helped potty train our eldest, and is a pro with all things diapers. And she worked with us and the kids to develop a set naptime that has worked perfectly for everyone. A mother herself, Marietou is nurturing and patient beyond belief; she sings to and with the children, braids my daughter's hair, and holds them tight with hugs.

One thing I didn't realize would be so important is also Marietou's connection to her fellow nannies. She has a wide network which helped introduce our children to other kids their age, some of whom have become best friends, since they see each other at the playgrounds and parks almost every day. This has become a crucial part of our kids' lives, and one of the main reasons that our very sociable son will be going to daycare is that his friends are all a year older and will be going to preschool this year. Other than parks and public libraries, she has taken our kids to different activities around the area (I would sign the kids up), but also to the zoo and to museums. She keeps a consistent schedule that we outlined from the beginning (and amended as the kids grew), but looks for fun activities to add variety now and then.

Additionally, Marietou speaks English, French, and Wolof. She taught my children a number of French phrases (some that we still use with our 4 year old), but also helped them learn to speak English. She can drive, has her own car, and is an American citizen.
