Part-Time House Helper / Family Assistant (1–2 Days a Week)

We are a warm and busy family (living in Fairfax, VA) looking for a reliable, caring, and proactive House Helper to support our household one to two days per week. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, takes initiative, and enjoys helping others. The ideal candidate will have a helpful, can-do attitude and a genuine love of creating a clean, calm, and well-run home.

Key Responsibilities:
Light Housekeeping & Household Support

Wash dishes and tidy the kitchen

Wipe down kitchen and bathroom surfaces and sinks (light cleaning only)

Do laundry and fold/put away clothes

Help organize closets, drawers, and storage spaces

Maintain general cleanliness and order throughout the home

Meal Prep & Cooking

Assist with food prep and chopping

Prepare simple, healthy meals for the week (optional but a big plus!)

Help plan and organize grocery lists

Occasionally pick up groceries or run household errands

Support for Elderly Parent (Chantilly, VA)

Be available on occasion to help drive and accompany our mom to appointments or errands

Provide patient, respectful assistance when needed

Occasional Childcare

Provide occasional babysitting or supervision for our children, as needed

Requirements:
Prior experience in housekeeping, caregiving, or as a family/household assistant preferred

Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Fluent in English (required); Hindi-speaking is a plus but not required

Hardworking, detail-oriented, and able to take initiative without needing constant direction

Flexible, adaptable, and able to shift between tasks

Kind, respectful, and comfortable working in a family setting

Trustworthy and dependable — this is very important to us

Schedule & Pay:
1–2 days per week (schedule can be discussed and may vary based on need)

Competitive hourly pay based on experience
