![]() I was wondering if anyone can actually describe what are the actual job responsibilities for a full time nanny? Like sweeping, vacuuming are included or is it only child related tasks unless agreeded between employers and employee? And also what are the best payroll companies or apps you have use to get paid? What do you like about them? Thank you |
Sweeping the entire first floor no.
Sweeping under the baby’s high chair after a meal yes. Vacuuming the entire play room no. Vacuuming if child spills glitter all over the floor yes. Generally speaking it’s tasks only related to the child/children. |
Why should she be vacuuming, lol, she will hardly have time to eat her lunch while your little one is napping, and sometimes kids do not nap well especially with a new nanny. |
Some babies take a two hour nap in the morning and another three hour nap in the afternoon. Plenty of time to eat lunch AND vacuum in that scenario. |
PP, you make me laugh. Show me the place where those wonder babies are who nap 5 hours in 8 hr day, lol. Most kids have two 1,15 min-1,5hr naps at age 12 months, if you are lucky. |
FULL TIME NANNY does FULL-TIME CHILDCARE, the nanny isn’t a housekeeper/house manager. All her tasks are related to the children nothing more nothing less Surepayroll |
I would say any chores a Nanny completes should be related to the child that they are caring for.
Sweeping and/or vacuuming would be included if the said child made a mess on the floor. Otherwise this is not part of the Nanny’s duties. Other chores could be emptying out diaper genies/pails, washing/sterilizing baby bottles + washing child’s laundry. (Though I personally think Nannies who provide laundry services should be paid a higher salary!) Washing any + all dishes used during a Nanny shift as well as picking up all toys/books/puzzles/etc. should ALWAYS be done prior to the Nanny leaving. Hope this helps! ![]() |
