AP will be extending with another family in 2nd year. How and when should I stop paying/sharing:

Netflix, Amazon Prime & Disney+: Currently AP is using my accounts to use these services. Should I change passwords right after she leaves? Should I give her a heads up or just change? She uses them a lot and I am not sure if her new HF will offer the same. I don't want to hurt her feelings but I don't want to share with her either after she leaves.

Cellphone: Should I cover her until her new HF get a line for her? Or should I just tell her a date that I will remove her line from my family plan?

Also, who is responsible for her flight ticket to the new HF?

Thanks!!

The flight u should ask your local coordinator. The other stuff is up to you. The cell phone I think you could continue to end of the month. So if she leaves Oct 12th you pay thru the 31st. Did you do something to piss you off? I feel like the Netflix stuff is petty.

No, not at all. I only paid for one screen for Netflix before she came here because that is all I needed. I am paying for multiple screens while she is here but I don't feel I need to continue that after she leaves.

For Amazon Prime. I certainly do not want to share my account with her after she leaves. Don't need anyone who doesn't live with me to make purchases through my account.

I have no problem paying for her phone bill for a little extended time for her convenience but just wanted to know what other HFs normally do.

It's fine to change passwords after her departure. Re cell phone, I'd just close out the account after her arrival at her new host home, but that part you may want to discuss with her so that she knows she has coverage until her new place.

It's not petty to close out accounts for things that you purchases solely for her use.

For the phone - check with your provider. We had AT&T and I guess because of the way they bill (monthly), it didn’t matter when I cancelled during the month - the phone line was paid up to the end of the month anyway.

Netflix probably operates the same way. You’ll get your two screens until your next billing cycle due date, at which point they’ll start charging you for only one screen again.

For us personally, we started changing passwords / taking her off things once she got on the plane to go home (so we paid for this type of stuff during her vacation month).

OP here.

Thank you all for the answers.

She is leaving my house on 18th, so I will tell her that everything except Amazon account will still be available to her until the end of month so that she has enough time to get new accounts from her new HF.

I would cancel everything but the phone the day she leaves. I would cancel the phone when that month ends.
