Nanny Placement Agency

Are there any agencies that are people here recommended for parents who are willing to pay market rates (through payroll) and offer benefits, or are we better off trying to find someone on our own?

Full disclosure, a neighbour's former nanny ended up being available before we signed on with an agency, but we did initial calls with 5 agencies and would have gone with Bridget at Gold Coast Nannies. She was responsive and spent a lot of time answering all of our (many) questions thoroughly. Every other agency made us feel like we were annoying them. We liked that all of their nannies are legal to work in the US and expecting positions on payroll. We were semi-surprised to find that wasn't true across the board.

I like Susan at NannyPoppinz. She's able to sort and send you only nannies who fit your criteria.

It's been a couple of years now but I used MetroParentRelief quite extensively when my kids were little (for emergency or short term nannies, and for searching for a permanent nanny).

I loved them. Responsive, clear, reasonable, mom owned, had good quality nannies w/ solid backgrounds and references, etc...

As a nanny who keeps getting emails from the company that don't fit my profile, and who is unable to get in contact to stop those emails? I would suggest skipping Gold Coast/Cost to Coast.
