Ending the nanny share

We are thinking about moving out of state. How long is recommended to give notice- 12 weeks? Tips to break the news to nanny/other family? So sad thinking about it.

If you are considering moving to a new state, it is best to give your Nanny as well as the other family a heads-up right now.
After that, I would keep them both updated if any changes actually do occur.

I would think 3 months is plenty of time. My contact says 2 months

As soon as you know. Anywhere from 30+ days is a good notice.

Moving to a new state doesn't happen quickly. I'd give as much notice as possible. As someone who had to find a new nanny share family when our first family moved, it's not an easy process. More notice is better and no one will have hard feelings - it's just life!
