Before covid, I used to love dogs - now I hate them.

More precisely, I hate dog owners. Since covid has closed our playgrounds and some parks, we are restricted to two outdoor places where my toddler charge can play. Inevitably, there is dog poop where we play although our city has strict regulations on cleaning up after your dog. We also have leash laws that some dog owners simply ignore. So I’ve constantly got one eye watching the ground for poop and the other on an unleashed dog for fear it’ll run to my toddler charge.

I’m so fricking tired of inconsiderate dog owners. Vent over.

Same. But I would say, as a city nanny, that before becoming a nanny I used to love dogs. Now I hate them. It always felt like dogs and children were fighting for the same land! And I seriously want to follow those jerks who don’t pick up their dog’s poop home and dump the contents of my charge’s diaper on their doorstep.
