Getting an SSN with Covid Closures

Our new au pair just arrived last week. Anyone have recent experience getting an SSN in Maryland with the closures?

| Our au pair arrived in September. We called right away and she was given an appointment in November. But, they called back within a few weeks and had a cancellation. I think they are only giving appointments in the Silver Spring office. We were able to open a bank account with Sun Trust without one and give it to them when it arrived so she had access to her money. |
