Thanks for any advice |
Just tell her. Don’t be an idiot. |
OP, I don't understand why you are asking this. Are you afraid she won't want to work with your oldest and a new baby? Are you not wanting to give her a raise when baby is born? Is there some kind of an issue with just telling her directly? |
? How to tell her? This is a normal thing to hear by every nanny. That the mom is expecting another baby. Unless you both agreed at the beginning that If you would decide to have a 2d baby she will quit. Since she prefer working Only with a family with One baby. |
"Ohhh Marta, I have news to tell you. "I'm pregnant". |
Its job security. |
Just say "Jane we wanted to let you know I'm pregnant and due in February." No big deal. |
No need to be nervous. She may already have guessed. We know more than anyone realizes! ![]() |
Is your nanny the father? |
Just tell her. She will be happy. Job security. |
Omg.. this comment really made me laugh LOL. (In a good way, of course) |
Not if she took the job for only one child. |
Then the nanny has six months to find a new position. I still don’t get OP’s high drama. |
She can find a new job in a week. I would ask what she planned to pay after baby is born and it would have to be at least $10 more an hour. Twice the work. |
I think it is better that when you tell her you are prepared to answer questions as well as to provide information.
Have you and DH talked about a raise? What maternity leave will look like? Will older child be doing any part time preschools? |
