What is the average amount for a transportation stipend? |
I have been wondering about this, too. |
We live in San Francisco and give our nanny a monthly fast pass. I think it's around $80. |
Pay for über. Seriously! |
Uber isn't that much better if you want to avoid public transportation. Both transport hundreds of people a day, and an Uber will not be any more safe than public transportation. |
I disagree. But you could get your personal driver to fetch the nanny. |
I’m talking about a standard transportation stipend in usual times for a nanny. Does no one provide this? |
Those that do calculate need. Are you just doing part or whole of her commute? Are you paying for the nanny to take your child on metro for outings or for your nanny to metro and do errands for you while she is working? I know a family that gives $50 towards the nanny’s commute per month, but it’s just part of what she uses. Another family pays for the nanny’s commute only, because their child is not to go on metro. I know another family that pays per trip for two children to accompany the nanny; they pay for the nanny’s card to have the one month pass, because they need her to go all over doing errands. |
Did someone report my question?
I asked OP if it was for child-related transportation or nanny's commute... |
How old are your kid(s)? How often will nanny and kid be using metro? |
OP cross posted:

In normal times, we give our nanny $50 a week for taking public transport. She does not drive but takes the bus to our house. If she misses the bus we just use our own Uber accounts to send her home.
Right now we have been giving her rides to and from her house to avoid her getting exposed to the virus. |
Bless. Your. Heart...... |
I'm an MB, we get $30 per month from my employer as a partial subsidy and that's what my nanny gets as well. I have also paid Uber and Lyft credits in various circumstances, including the last week our nanny worked before the quarantine (she hasn't been coming and of course we do pay her). |
I also disagree especially since right now you can keep the windows wide open! |
