There is family who need care on coming Sunday, Monday and Tuesday
Legally when I can cancel with them ?
Can I cancel today which is Friday?
I have some personal problems that I have to deal.
Is two days enough for them to find someone

You need to cancel now so they have time to find a replacement. It is really crummy to do it last minute but if you do, do it now. How is this even a question?

Op here , this is first time I am cancelling with that short notice. I know folks who cancel same day.
I called them request if I can work for them 9 to 1 but they were upset since my shift was 10 to 5.
I have emergency situation.

If it’s an emergency, it is what it is. Cancel as soon as you know.

I understand both your situation and their situation. I understand them being upset as they were counting on you.

I wouldn’t plan on being asked to work for them again however.

You have an emergency and that is all you need to tell them. Do not go into detail.

Then cancel. They may not have flexible work hours so you flexing your hours may not work for them.

It would depend on the emergency but I probably would not call again either.
