A hand print Christmas ornament since it’s close to the holidays.

I always tell new nanny friends to start traditions they can maintain year after year rather than setting yourself up to have to come up with something new every year. In that vein, I have my charges make a handprint birthday cake every year for a card, and then we make cupcakes together. The end. Simple enough that it can be a tradition. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel every year!

Get a stretched canvas and have your charge go at it with fingerprints. I love this idea as it’s ready to hang after it dries.

Butterfly footprint on a canvas.

How do you do this? Not OP but it sounds adorable!

Paint the adorable little feet and stamp. Lots of images if you google. They also look cute on a piece of ceramic tile. Modgepodge after, add felt feet and you have a trivet. Hand print flowers and butterfly feet on a plain apron look really cute too.

Child can't make anything. So, the question is what do you want to make. I agree with others, keep it simple.
