I had my son in a nanny share for 2 years. He started preschool last month. We paid 25 per hour. (12.50 per hour per family) for 40 hours and then any OT hour was at 27 per hour per family.

Illegal. OT should have been $37.50 ($18.75/family). The point to overtime is to make it expensive for employers, so that they’re more likely to let employees go on time.

Nanny share duties are simply to tidy up after kids and herself. Otherwise, it’s just caring for kids.

It was 27 per hour PER FAMILY, which is more than $37.50/hr.

My apologies. I missed the per family bit at the end in the first post. Kudos!
