Just a vent. A summer vent

I hate summer. As a nanny, I hate summer even more than I previously did.

Hot car, hot stroller, hot sidewalks, shade-free parks, etc. I hear you. I’m a Southern California nanny and I love winter and spring (we don’t have an autumn, sadly).

I love summer! (And fall and spring)

Outside in the morning before it’s too hot. Love not having to put on coats, mittens and hats. Had a baby toss his mitten from the stroller on a walk. I’ll take summer and splash parks.

Summer is just not “my scene” since becoming a nanny. Pushing a stroller up hill in 90 degree weather with 99% humidity is not my idea of a good time.


And before “lol nanny” shows up and calls me laziness, I do everything with my charge in the summer that I do in the spring - I just sweat doing it.

Yeah, carrying a hot, sweaty toddler is not fun for anyone. Or cleaning up a giant poop out of swim diaper. Or mosquito bites.

I’m in so cal and recently we have had some of the most ruthless burning days. I remember last year reaching 110°. Luckily Im not a nanny anymore but I remember those hot days in the park running around putting on sunscreen going to the splash pads and just sweating so much!! Also hated loading up the kids. Luckily I was always able to turn on the car with the ac before

Between the entitled nanny’s on here who don’t want to empty dishwashers and don’t want to work with a screaming toddler or preschooler-

Or how else do you describe nannies who want to work with newborns because they sleep all day and all they have to clean is one bottle every two hours?!?!?! And on top of that those are the ones who only fall in love with newborns, but can’t fall in love with 2 or 3 year old kids

All jokes aside, I will stop posting to these threads because I realized you guys who attack me must have a very miserable life as else you wouldn’t attack me and talk about this non sense, even my boyfriend says he is shocked about what some of you nannies say on here.
I come on here once in a while but each time I read all these posts of these entitled nannies I just feel bad for the families and kids

You can’t come on a forum bashing everyone and think you are somehow above getting called out. You should continue to surround yourself with ppl who will only support you no matter how wrong you are. Wouldn’t want reality to hurt your feelings.
