end of the year slump RSS feed

Our au pair is going through an end of the year slump with 6 weeks to go. We are both counting the days at this point. I feel like the level of trust that we have for her has slid given her slip ups of late. Any suggestions for addressing? thanks.

Former au pair here
What are the things you don’t trust her? You don’t have to tell us, but if it’s safety to your children, you should think about reporting her to the agency!
If she’s rude to your family I would let her go
At the end of the year At Pairs end up with certificates
Do you think she deserves one?
It blows to not let her finish the year, but if it’s about safety you really can’t let that slide! You said your trust went down

Ask for a mediation meeting with LCC for an "end strong!" message.

If you're with CCAP, there really are rematches for 1-2 months because of issues at the end.

Are you me) we just dealt with this 2 weeks ago. Had a "end strong" convo and told her if she is no longer excited about being here, that's fine. What she does need to do is fake it for the kids' sake. seemed to help.

+1. we also added to ours that she was also welcome to leave early as we were in a position where we could have muddled by without help if necessary until our new AP arrived.

+1. AP is in a slump, as are all of her friends. Is it the summer heat or something?

Totally in a slump, ap finishes early September and she’s been super lazy lately. I think it’s the lack of schedule and things changing over the summer. We are muddling through.
