Shoutout to the nannies

I just want to share my appreciation and respect for those in the nanny role. I’m a teacher home this summer with a 6 and 3 year old. I also am a bit under the weather. My kids are delightful yet exhausting, but at least I get to lay down after our morning outing while they play with legos nearby and/or leave the house messy without being scrutinized from afar on a nanny camera or when my boss arrives home. To the people who care for others’ children all day every day - thank you for doing this hard and important job. I hope your charges’ parents appreciate you!

I say this every Sunday night after a weekend with my child! Nanny keeps him so active and engaged all week and walks miles with him pointing out everything he sees and touches. I love time with my baby but come Sunday night after two full days with a nine mo th old crawler - I get it!

Yes, I do appreciate our brilliant, loving and dependable (never once late and never sick in seven months) nanny.
