Our au pair might need to leave early for personal reasons - would cultural care pay for the flight home? She did meet her educational credit requirement. |
Unfortunately, I do not believe CC will pay. We had an AP leave early for personal reasons. We were supportive and on the same page as our AP, but she had to pay for her own flight home. She, too, had all her educational credits. |
only within 30 days of completing their year will they get credit for completing program and have their flight paid by agency.
so if you APs last day was supposed to be Aug 1 they could leave july 2nd. |
Thank you - does the host family lose out on the fees for that month or get a credit? |
Not with CC but EurAupair agency- our AP got sick and had to leave home as an emergency. They made her pay out of pocket - we ended up covering the expense (because we wanted to help). |
you don't get any refund or credit of fees for that month if AP leaves early. |
With ccap you definitely get credit of prorated weeks towards next ap. |
Ccap sucks dick. We had an AP need to go home for critical medical treatment because their health insurance here also sucks dick. Ccap would not pay for this emergency. We felt awful for her and paid her ticket home. Turns out she had stage 4 lymphoma. Thank God she is now cancer free. It is a miracle, but it got so bad here because the health insurance is awful awful awful and they kept refusing and scans and kept saying she had a virus which caused the cough and shortness of breath.
So no, even when someone is dying ccap wants to keep their money. |
If ap leaves 29 days early you do not get a refund. Anything over 11 months “completes” the contract. |
Yes until the last month. Then nothing. |
I have definitely gotten credit towards my next AP for an AP leaving even 2 weeks early, but it could be that we have been hosting for so long that this is a "special arrangement" and not officially allowed. |
Would it work if we rematch with her intention not to find another family and the cc has to pay for the flight home? Or did that bad for the ap? |
You get no refund in last month.
Ap can leave and company will pay if it is in the 12 month. If they go into rematch and do not match it is the company’s discretion to pay or not; typically not. |
So what happens if the au pairs don’t match and can’t afford a flight home? |
