Do you 1) pay for the class up front, 2) reimburse for the class after proof of registration, or 3) reimburse after proof of completion?
Wondering if everyone else isn't cynical like I am (our handbook states #3). |
We pay up front. |
We pay up front through the class website. It's in the rules I have to pay for credits. If she doesn't actually take them that's on her. |
I don't think it is fair/appropriate for you to make your AP front the $500 to register for the class and then be out that $500 until you reimburse her (which will likely be several months after she paid it). You need to pay up front. You can pay directly to the school if that makes you feel more comfortable. |
OP: Does the agency not tell you that you're SOL for responsibility if AP doesn't actually complete the class? Or if the class doesn't actually count for credits?
That was my understanding with the previous agency, which is why it was in our handbook that we reimburse... |
+1 |
+2 also against the rules...you pay $500 for classes, regardless of pass/fail/completion |
We do 1 or 2 - with the first several I did #1, but lately I've done number 2 since I don't always have my act together. I don't really care if they attend/finish the class or not. (I had one that didn't, not my problem.) |
You should pay up front. |
We paid up front, but when the au pair decided to go home (and we discovered she had been skipping the class, we were able to get a refund of some of it. |
