Renew but have a several month gap between au Pairs?

Does anyone know if you can renew your contract with your Au Pair organization (say, APIA) but not get a new Au Pair for several months after the old leaves? For example if the current AuPair leaves in January, and the family does not have the next arrive until the start of summer. Kids are school aged and they figure they can make due for the remainder of the school year.

of course. you may just miss out on the "early match" discount, but you will still get the "repeat" family rate.
